The City of Palo Alto is seeking a motivated, creative and technically proficient individual to serve as a Parking Intern within the Transportation Department at the City. This individual will work with the Parking Manager on a myriad of programs and projects including but not limited to parking permit programs, parking technology implementation, downtown parking and wayfinding projects, permit policies, transportation demand management policies and programs and many other tasks. The intern may be asked to participate and prepare for community meetings, meet with parking technology and other parking and TDM-related vendors, do research projects, create and analyze data related to parking and help implement various projects. No experience in parking is required, but the individual should be quick to learn, able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously, have a passion for improving the community and not be easily discouraged. Ability to jump in and do what needs to be done is a must!
