Qualifications

• Architectural or Construction Management Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, one in a similar position.
• Advanced level knowledge of AutoCAD 2007 or a later version.
• Working knowledge of building codes, Title 24, ADA, health and planning department requirements and the ability to communicate effectively with building officials and government agencies.
• Working knowledge of light gauge metal stud and wood framing.
• Field surveying, as built drawing experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the architectural design process.
• Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to compose grammatically correct and error free written correspondence and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work simultaneously on multiple, fast-paced projects in various phases of design and construction.
• Generate and translate conceptual design into Construction Documents.
• Coordinate with staff and consultants to adhere to project schedules.
• Construction Documents preparation using AutoCAD.
• Occasional travel.
• Other duties as determined by the Project Manager and the Avila Design leadership team.
