The Regional and Field Offices of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are the face of HUD to the state and local governments and citizens of the geographical areas that they serve across America. They assist the full range of HUD’s institutional and individual customers and provide support for all HUD program areas including Housing, Community Planning and Development, Public and Indian Housing, and Fair Housing. These offices serve a pivotal role in ensuring the integration of all HUD programs response to community priorities and needs in their assigned geographical areas. They also provide a vital service to the various HUD program offices linking program capabilities to community needs and resolving HUD cross-program issues in the geographic area.

As a Management Analyst (Community Initiative), you will:

Serves as a first point of contact in the community for the effective coordination of the Promise Zone initiative, including programs of HUD and other participating federal agencies and non-governmental resources.

Coordinates with Federal, State, and local agencies to provide services to client groups so that emerging problems can be identified, and solutions created, before they adversely impact these groups.
Works with lead organizations and partners in designated communities to understand needs and priorities, matches them to best practices and available federal and other resources, and help scope steps to achieve community goals.
