Duration: Up to 12 months
Availability: At least 16 hours per week during regular business hours, with no more than 2 days in-person (including Tuesdays) at WETA's Main Office located at Pier 9 in San Francisco. The exact work schedule will be determined upon hiring.

Ideal Candidate

Knowledge of:

Concepts, theories, principles, and techniques of transportation planning
Research and statistical methods (qualitative and quantitative)
Budgeting and financial analysis concepts and practices
Best practices and techniques for community outreach and engagement
Project management methods and techniques
Transportation funding mechanisms and grants
CEQA and NEPA processes and implementation
Ability to:
Analyze issues, data, and other information associated with transportation planning projects, including quantitative data, spatial data, engineering estimates of costs and benefits, and public input.
Perform analysis and make recommendations based on findings in studies, field observation, and public contacts.
Write documents, reports, and memoranda for a variety of audiences including technical experts and the general public.
Perform quantitative analysis using raw data through spreadsheet software.
Create and deliver presentations of technical information and/or analysis to a general audience using presentation software.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma/GED and in pursuit of a bachelor or post-graduate level degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in transportation planning, urban planning, public policy, or a related field.
