The University of California, Berkeley (UCB) seeks a Housing Development Project Manager, to conduct program and planning analysis for Housing Projects, and provide recommendations to optimize the use of real estate assets to campus administration. The Housing Development Project Manager position will focus on planning and program development of the Chancellor's Housing Initiative, and implementation of the specific campus housing development projects resulting from that planning process. These housing projects will address a critical housing shortage for students, faculty and staff. Work may include both partnerships with private developers (to design and construct the projects) or planning and project management activities for campus developed projects, and other opportunities that may arise. These projects will fulfill campus housing needs, are aligned with essential university goals, and are a high priority for campus administration.

Successful applicants will have the knowledge, skill and ability to perform such tasks as planning, site analysis, analysis of existing buildings, development of user programs, development of preliminary cost estimates and proformas, development of preliminary project schedules, project management and conduct value engineering process in connection with the development of UCB-owned properties in Berkeley, California.
