The SFMTA Planning Programs team focuses on transportation mode-shift strategies, transportation safety efforts, and innovative pilot-programs geared towards supporting safe, convenient multimodal transportation. The team develops internal and city-wide programs, policies and education campaigns working with residents, community organizations, schools, local businesses, and other city agencies in supporting the SFMTA in achieving its strategic goals.

This Planner I position will support high-profile projects and programs including safety and encouragement campaigns such as Vision Zero education or Safe Routes to School and transportation choices education and outreach such as bicycle education or transportation demand management. This position will also support the broader Planning subdivision, matrixing to other sections as needed.
