The City of Berkeley is looking to hire a qualified candidate as its Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Assistant. This is an internship-level position that will be essential in assisting Transportation Planning staff with bicycle and pedestrian transportation focused work that includes but is not limited to: policy research, data analysis, public outreach, field inspections, GIS, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office skills. As a condition of employment, all newly-hired or re-hired employees must be fully vaccinated and must report their vaccination status to the City of Berkeley before their first day of employment. Required Qualifications and must meet the following:
Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident AND Enrolled full-time or part-time in an accredited college or university in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree program, OR;

Obtained a degree within the last twelve (12) months, OR;

Must meet requirements as stipulated for an educational, certification, or licensure program.

Other Requirements: Must possess a valid California driver's license if assignment requires driving.
