DEVELOPMENT & INVESTMENT ASSOCIATE

citizenM is looking for a Development & Investment (D&I) Associate to join the North American Development & Investment Team and support the team’s efforts to acquire, develop and evaluate a growing portfolio of citizenM hotels in target markets.

The primary focus of the role will be to support the D&I team on all activities relating to the North American roll out of citizenM hotels, including site acquisition, shareholder reporting, competitor analysis, and business development.




key responsibilities

supporting the D&I team, Chief Investment Officer, strategic council and shareholders with hotel and real estate market analysis and management information
supporting the regular update of the global roll-out strategy
managing the research documentation and archive of the D&I team
being a critical team member supporting the sustainable roll-out of citizenM


main tasks

acquisition project support with feasibility analysis, drafting investment memorandum sections, financial modelling, due diligence support
general team support with presentations, preparations for new market trips, providing management information
market analysis, competitor research, monitoring property/hotel market


qualifications / skills

academic degree in a business, finance, or real estate -related discipline; graduate degree preferred but not necessary
real estate and financial modelling skills required
2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in (hotel) real estate
excellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google applications
a broad interest in the hospitality industry, curiosity about hotel deal making
excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages a distinct advantage
able to work independently and manage time efficiently and effectively
high attention to detail
a team player with a resourceful attitude
