The Concord Group, one of the nation’s leading real estate strategy consulting firms, is seeking candidates for the Associate Consultant position in its San Francisco office. With over 40 consultants in four offices (Newport Beach, San Francisco, Atlanta, and New York), The Concord Group advises top developers, builders, financial institutions and municipalities worldwide on major land use, development and financing decisions.

The firm’s strength is derived from the passion and ability of its consultants, who are drawn from a broad array of professional and educational backgrounds. By virtue of our energetic and motivated workforce, we offer a unique environment emphasizing collaboration amongst all team members to ensure that each solution is borne of a thorough examination of all perspectives. We work as a team to promote work-life balance, and offer support of individual educational and professional initiatives, flexibility in work hours, promotions based on achievement rather than tenure, and a highly competitive compensation structure including full benefits.
The strength of our ties to former colleagues, as well as their diverse accomplishments, is a testament to the opportunity of the Associate Consultant position. Our alumni have gained admittance to the nation’s most prestigious graduate institutions and have excelled in many professional endeavors.

The Associate Consultant is integral to the daily operation of the firm, and will have an active role in all aspects of engagements, including:

• Conducting essential research regarding demographic data, market trends, employment trends, etc.
• Conducting interviews with leasing agents, brokers, and city planners
• Identifying key strategic and logistical issues
• Solving complex problems using qualitative and financial analyses
• Synthesizing conclusions into client-focused recommendations
• Developing results-driven client strategies
• Interacting with team members, principals and clients

The Associate Consultant position involves 75 - 90% computer work (research, modeling data using Excel, creating aesthetic tables/charts/maps, and analyzing results), 5 - 15% travel (often local, often national, and the rare international project); and 5-10% presentation/communication of results.

The Associate Consultant position is an outstanding opportunity for recent graduates as well as professionals who desire to expand their knowledge of the real estate industry in a strategic consulting function. Associates are encouraged to assume project leadership roles and client responsibilities as they develop their skill sets; ability is the only qualification for advancement.

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic track record
• Excellent quantitative skills
• Excellent communication skills in both writing and presentation
