Temporary Project Coordinator will assist the Parks for People – Bay Area Program Project Managers with planning, design, research, and administrative tasks associated with current and potential projects.
Specific responsibilities may include:
• Oakland Green Schoolyards: Assist with meeting preparation, creating outreach materials (flyers, newsletters), organizing and starting a stewardship plan.
• Resilient Richmond: Assist with work plan and meeting preparation for the Richmond Wellness Trail project and other potential Richmond projects
• San Francisco parks: assist with tasks related to Buchanan Street Mall Design and Tenderloin Parks Construction.

Qualifications: The candidate will be self-motivated, a clear communicator, have excellent writing skills and a strong interest in the mission of the organization. The candidate can support the Parks for People program with either excellent graphic skills (proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office), or community organizing and research/planning skills (especially experience working with diverse communities). Specific experience, education and skills that would be helpful:
• Ability to work on challenging and complex projects with moderate level of supervision
• Ability to bring a high degree of flexibility, creativity, vision, and resourcefulness to projects
• Demonstrated awareness and understanding of environmental justice issues in low-income, urban communities
• Flexibility with periodic nighttime and weekend community meetings
