We are looking for a full-time GIS Specialist to provide support for long-range planning, urban design, zoning, environmental analysis and other assignments. This involves creating, manipulating and managing geospatial data; conducting analysis; and producing publication-ready maps, tables, and charts. The GIS Specialist would need to interact with planners, other mapping specialists, and clients; and help integrate new GIS technologies into the firm’s planning work.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a BA in GIS, or in geography, planning or closely-related field along with certificate/specialization in GIS, minimum 2 years’ experience (greater experience desirable) and have demonstrated proficiency in:

• Manipulating vector and raster data in ArcGIS
• Manipulating tabular data in GIS, including summarizing, joining and linking related data
• Geodatabase design and management
• Spatial Analysis, 3D Analysis and Network Analysis
• Internet applications
• Map design and layout skills for display and published maps

DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Drawing (Illustrator) and AutoCAD familiarity is desirable

SALARY
Starting base salary range from $65,000 to $75,000 DOE + benefits. We offer a full range of benefits, including vacation/sick leave, medical insurance, pre-tax transit allowance, and a company-contributed IRA plan.
