Job Description:

The position would work independently providing municipal staffing and entitlement support to local governments, in the Monterey Bay Area and the San Francisco Bay Area. The position would be involved in a broad spectrum of projects working for one or more public agencies. This would be an opportunity for challenging work, to expand your skills, and to grow within an established company.

Required Skills/Experience:

The ideal candidate will be driven, intellectually curious, committed to excellence, able to work independently, and demonstrate a desire to make a difference in the communities we serve.

Minimum skills or experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree with major coursework in urban planning, public administration, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a municipal planning setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and trends of public planning.
• Knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
• Public speaking.
• Strong customer service skills.

Bilingual, GIS experience, active transportation experience, or other specialized skills a plus.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience.
