NPH is now accepting applications for the 2018-2019 Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP)! Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate program. Students interested in Urban Studies/Community Development/Affordable Housing are encouraged to apply.

The program includes a year-long paid internship with host agencies and cohort trainings designed to increase staff diversity in the affordable housing development field, and assist in meeting the needs of communities we serve throughout the Bay Area. The internship aims to provide a launching pad for college students from low-income, communities of color backgrounds into a career in affordable housing development and project management.

The host agencies are located throughout the Bay Area and include:
EAH, San Rafael
Eden Housing, Hayward
First Community Housing, San Jose
Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, Alameda
Mercy Housing, San Francisco
MidPen Housing, Foster City or Oakland
Mission Economic Development Agency, San Francisco
Palo Alto Housing Corporation, Palo Alto
Resources for Community Development, Berkeley
Satellite Affordable Housing Associates, Berkeley
Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, San Francisco

The program is for one year and the internship starts as early as June 2018 and ends in May 2019.

If selected for the program you will be required to work full-time (30-40 hours per week) during the summer and then part-time (approx. 16-20 hours per week) starting when your fall term begins.
