clients. We employ experts in the fields of plant, wildlife, and wetland ecology, GIS, CEQA/NEPA and landscape architecture.
We are looking for an entry-level, energetic, career-minded CEQA/NEPA Environmental Planner to join us on a full-time basis in our San Rafael office. Periodic travel is a requirement of the position. We are particularly looking for someone familiar with the CEQA/NEPA process; experience compiling these documents is preferred.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, environmental planning, geography, ecology, or related field. An Assistant Environmental Planner is responsible for conducting data analysis and document/project
research in support of environmental review projects.

Specific duties include:
 -Conduct document research, basic data analysis.
 -Prepare document templates and sections of environmental documents.
 -Integrate technical reports into environmental documents under supervision of
project manager.
 -Complete tasks as assigned by project managers and technical staff.

May also be requested to conduct limited administrative duties under the
supervision of the Associate and/or Senior Environmental Planner including
document production and delivery, database updates, and other similar tasks.

Desired qualifications include: education and some experience in CEQA, NEPA, environmental impact analysis, permit preparation, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrable technical writing ability, leadership skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.
