MIG is seeking a multi-talented planner with a background in California land use planning and public policy in our Berkeley, CA office. The selected candidate will work with a team of planners and designers to produce reports, planning analyses and documents, as well as mapping and graphic materials for both public and private sector clients. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in urban, city or land use planning, and two to five years of work experience in California land use planning. The candidate must have strong writing skills, work as an enthusiastic team member, and have the ability to speak in front of groups. The candidate must also have interest in a range of projects, such as general plans, specific plans, downtown plans, campus master plans, community design projects, sustainable communities, transit-oriented development and community engagement. Required computer skills include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. GIS, AutoCAD, SketchUp and design skills are also a plus, as are bilingual capabilities.
