Parisi provides services in transportation planning and engineering, bicycle and pedestrian planning and design, Complete Streets planning and design, and Safe Routes to School planning. We are seeking up to two talented interns or entry-level transportation engineers / planners to join our team.
Successful applicants will:
• Work towards a career in transportation/traffic engineering or planning
• Analyze and solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Use a variety of software tools to develop and communicate transportation solutions
• Work on a variety of projects as a team member and independently
Required qualifications for the Intern or Entry-Level Engineer/Planner are:
• Bachelor’s degree in transportation or civil engineering; transportation/urban planning; or related major
• Work experience in one or more of the following areas: transportation engineering, urban planning, and urban design
• Knowledge of transportation and traffic engineering/planning principles and practices (e.g., MUTCD, HCM, and NACTO)
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and presentation skills
Preferred qualifications include:
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Synchro and other transportation planning software suites
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification for engineering candidates
• Local knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area
• Availability to work part-time during the school year (if degree is in progress)
