Terry A. Hayes Associates Inc. (TAHA) is seeking an Environmental Planner to join our team. This position will be responsible for preparing various environmental documents in accordance with CEQA/NEPA mandates for a wide variety of projects, assisting in the management of projects, conducting research and analysis of data, as well as proposal support, and for assisting in public/community outreach. Project types may include transportation, community plans, specific plans, and small commercial and residential development.

The ideal candidate for the position of Environmental Planner must reside in the Los Angeles area, have a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or related field (e.g., Land Use Planning, Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, etc.) and a minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the preparation of CEQA/NEPA documentation. This position requires initiative, attention to detail, excellent verbal, report writing, problem solving, computer and analytical skills. Client interaction and coordination experience required.

TAHA will provide extensive training and/or mentoring in all aspects of environmental document preparation, including, but not limited to proposal preparation and graphic preparation.
