Moore & Associates has an immediate opening for a motivated intern at its Valencia, California office to support the firm’s growing public transportation practice. This part-time position provides technical support for the firm’s planning, survey, and marketing departments. This paid internship is expected to last for a period of 6 to 12 months. Upon successful completion there is potential for full-time employment depending upon job performance, compatibility, and the firm’s workload. Core Duties 1. Applies GIS techniques to support development of project reports specific to transit operations evaluation and planning. 2. Assists in the preparation of mapping and data summaries of transit performance evaluations. 3. Develops, analyzes, and/or processes spatial and non-spatial data. 4. Performs technical research as required. Qualifications 1. Job-related GIS experience OR a degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Geographic Information Systems. 2. Proficient in ArcGIS and MS Office applications. 3. Must be detailed oriented and possess strong organization skills. 4. Eligible to work in the United States. 5. Possession of a valid Californian Class C driver license. Compensation $15 to $18/hour depending upon skill level and experience. 12 to 16 hours/week during school sessions.
