Our Menlo Park Office is searching for a mid- to senior-level CEQA Analyst/Environmental Planner.

Responsibilities

The CEQA Analyst/Environmental Analyst position consists of research and writing CEQA documents, managing projects and coordinating staff, representing TRA’s work in presentations to agencies and the public, preparing sales proposals and assisting with business development. Experience preparing all types of CEQA documents and familiarity with resource agency laws and requirements is essential. Experience preparing NEPA documents is desirable. An understanding of the geographic setting and political issues of Northern California a plus.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of environmental regulations and will also have experience managing projects and budgets, directing and managing staff, delegating work tasks, and reviewing the work of others. TRA is looking for an individual who is capable and comfortable with client contact and representing clients and TRA before agencies and in public forums. This position would also entail maintaining and developing TRA’s client base through professional networking and assisting with marketing efforts.

Minimum requirements are a Master’s degree in environmental planning or related discipline or a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience preparing CEQA/NEPA documents. Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail are required. This position requires a self-directed and independent worker who also enjoys working in a team environment.
