Vannevar Technology, a technology startup addressing the urban environment and building design industry seeks part-time interns.

Location: SOMA, San Francisco, CA and remote
Availability: Part-Time/Immediate Openings
Pay: Hourly commensurate on experience and/or school credit

Responsibilities:
Researching current trends in zoning/planning in US Cities and open data sources
Researching zoning codes of large US Cities, and working with software engineers to parse the codes such that it can be interpreted by software.
User testing of software products
Researching events/marketing opportunities and scheduling for presentations of software

Candidates will work closely with the software development team and should have excellent communication skills and computer skills. Candidates should have 1-3 years experience in the field of urban planning/architecture and have an undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, or urban planning and/or a current student pursuing a masters in City Planning, or an undergraduate minor in City Planning.
Technical Requirements:
Robust experience using Microsoft Excel
GIS mapping/database experience a plus
Experience with programming/software engineering a plus
