Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. seeks an Environmental Planner or Urban Planner to expand and lead a multi-disciplinary environmental planning & entitlement practice in California. The successful candidate will have managed the preparation of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, including environmental impact reports, negative and mitigated negative declarations, Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other such environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects. This position will work with our offices throughout California and can be based in our Northern California/Bay Area office locations.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience conducting environmental studies for local agencies and private entities.

• Managed a wide range of tasks related to environmental planning land planning, policy planning, and entitlement for both a variety of land development (commercial, residential, campus, institutional, energy), and mixed use and infill-related projects.

• Thorough understanding of the agencies involved with the CEQA process and as well as California Land Planning Law.

• Understand the extent and variety of resources available to facilitate and complete the CEQA process

Min. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Required Major: Any Relevant Major
Professional Registration: AICP - American Institute of Certified Planners
Desired Qualifications: Experience with SketchUp, InDesign or Illustrator advantageous, but not required.
