Walk San Francisco is the City’s pedestrian advocacy organization, working to make San
Francisco a more livable, walkable city and reclaiming streets as safe, shared public space for everyone to enjoy. Walk SF’s mission is to make walking in San Francisco safer for everyone,so that our community is healthier and more livable.

Walk San Francisco’s Policy & Advocacy Intern will gain valuable skills and advocacy
experience while helping to build a strong voice for pedestrians and sustainable streets in San Francisco. The Policy & Advocacy Intern will work directly with the Executive Director. Walk SF is committed to supporting professional development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a person who's interested in building sustainable cities to
learn how a non-profit organization really works – get in on the ground floor of a small, rapidly
growing non-profit.

This internship offers a flexible schedule at 8-16 hours per week through the spring semester,
with the potential to continue on over the summer or fall semester. Compensation = $15/hour.

Please send a letter of interest, resume and brief writing sample to intern@walksf.org by Friday, February 7, 2014.
