The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing support for the Central Market Community Benefits Districtʼs (CMCBD) programs by assisting the Executive Director and Board of Directors in the following areas: community outreach, marketing & communications and office management. The Program Coordinator also helps form strategic partnerships, manage promotional events and fundraise. Work hours are typically 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday with some evening and weekend work required.

The CMCBD is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community-based organization formed in 2006 to provide programs and services to improve the quality of life experienced in the public realm of San Francisco's Central Market.

key duties and responsibilities
community outreach
• perform outreach activities that strengthen and maintain District partnerships with property owners,
merchants, residents, nonprofit organizations and City agencies working in Central Market
• disseminate news and information about CMCBD programs and services throughout the District
• secure the participation of neighborhood stakeholders in special events and promotions
• participate in District meetings and events as directed

marketing & communications
• assist with implementation of the marketing plan including: advertising, public relations, social media, new
media, website maintenance and District events
• manage content, optimization, marketing and statistical tracking of the CMCBD website and social media
• develop content and design for event flyers, District signage, brochures, maps, press kits
• participate in CMCBD events as needed

office management
• manage scheduling, filing, records, correspondence and requests for information
• coordinate logistics for meetings, including securing sites and producing materials
• vendor management and supply procurement
• other duties as assigned

requirements
• organized and detail oriented
• proficiency with Word and Excel, HTML, social media and all general office machines
• good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, and good presentation skills
• basic graphic design and layout skills, knowledge of Photoshop/InDesign
• demonstrated experience with civic affairs, community outreach and/or property management desired
