JOB DESCRIPTION: IEC seeks an Environmental and Community Outreach Specialist to join our growing environmental division. Position is based in our Fremont office with some travel. Responsibilities include preparing environmental documents (NOE, IS, EA, EIR, EIS, permit application materials) and outreach collateral (web, hard copy, social media) for public agency projects in Bay Area and southern California. The ideal candidate will enjoy a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment; will have excellent writing and interpersonal skills; and will possess at least a BA/BS degree in a relevant field (environmental studies, communications, biology/ecology, earth sciences, political science, or other), a working knowledge of environmental regulations (CEQA, NEPA, ESA/CESA, CWA, etc.), and 1–5 years’ relevant experience in the consulting or public service arenas.
