1000 Friends is pleased to announce the 2014 Paul Gerhardt, Jr. Internship. Established in 1986, this internship provides an opportunity for on-the-job experience for planning students or those in similar fields, especially those interested in public service. Undergraduates and graduate students, including those who have not yet begun graduate school, are welcome to apply. Law students are specifically excluded.

The position is for 35 hours a week for 10 weeks in summer 2014. A stipend of $4,500 is provided, and limited additional funds may be available to help with travel expenses.

Applications, including reference letters, must be received by Thursday, February 20, 2014. The intern will be selected by Thursday, March 20, and notified by phone shortly thereafter.
