Are you interested in the connection between trail maintenance and ecological restoration? Are you passionate about community-based volunteer programs and working with a broad range of audiences? The Golden Gate National Recreation Area is unique for many reasons. The diversity of ecosystems, connections to urban landscapes, strong community relationships, as well as numerous key partnerships render this Park distinct and irreplaceable. The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and the Presidio Trust work together to maintain this distinctiveness while sustaining a vibrant community of stewards to support habitat and trail restoration within the Golden Gate National Parks. Volunteers help maintain a world-class trail system, monitor and protect rare species, and remove invasive and non-native species, with the understanding that active engagement in parklands leads to a deeper appreciation of their value.
