The Principal Shoreline Development Analyst is a unique position that takes an active role in shaping the development of the San Francisco Bay shoreline as well as in supervising and molding BCDC’s Shoreline Development permitting program. As a permit analyst, you will interact with project proponents, fellow agencies, and a wide range of BCDC staff to shepherd projects through the permitting process. This is a highly collaborative position, both internally and externally, where you will be working with policies such as the Bay Plan’s public access, climate change, and environmental justice policies to create world-class public spaces that provide resilient, sustainable, and equitable opportunities for the public to enjoy and experience the Bay. You will have the opportunity to manage many of the most high-profile and complex permitting and regulatory matters before the Commission and work closely with the Shoreline Development Program Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of the Shoreline Development Permits team.
