$99,964.80 - $153,233.60/year

The Alameda County Administrator’s Office (CAO) prepares the County’s $3.6 billion budget for presentation to the Board of Supervisors for approval. The budget funds critical support services for the county’s 1.6 million residents necessary for the provision of health care, social services, public safety, and other critical services needed in the diverse communities of Alameda County.
New CAO team members will perform work in areas of countywide budgeting, finance or capital planning and assist in a variety of analytical, logistical, and technical assignments associated with the development of the countywide budget.

Interested candidates should possess the following skills or have working knowledge and an interest in developing these skills:

• Principles and practices of fiscal analysis and budgeting techniques.
• Ability to monitor and maintain a large financial budget including collecting data, performing preliminary analyses, and making appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and present complex budget information in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
• Must be detail oriented in preparation of reports for review by managers and executives.
• Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and projects including handling multiple priorities.
