The ideal candidate for this position will engage communities in the implementation of community flood prevention programs.

In this position, you will serve as a Community Planner. Typical assignments include:
Reviewing state and local flood damage prevention plans against established criteria to assure conformance with program requirements of the National Flood Insurance Reform Act.
Providing training and technical support to state and local governments in the development of flood damage prevention plans.
Promoting flood damage prevention planning and mitigation through participation in webinars, conferences and/or other engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
Monitoring the progress of floodplain development and flood damage prevention review.
Generating reports for management regarding the status of flood damage prevention Plan adoptions, expiration's, population coverage and other similar data.
