The Broadband Manager will be a member of the San Jose City Manager's Innovation Team, reporting directly to the Director of Civic Innovation and Deputy City Manager responsible for 21st Century Infrastructure.

You will be part of a team of 5-8 talented individuals who are passionate about innovating city government.

The Broadband Manager will negotiate value exchange agreements to generate demand for broadband deployments and ensure City departments fulfill that demand by permitting communications facilities including cell towers, small cells, and underground fiber.

The Broadband Manager will also work closely with innovative technology companies to evaluate ways to accelerate broadband deployment including Smart City technology. Collaboration with public interest groups, community organizations, and other stakeholders will also be required to ensure public adoption, such as for small cells on street lights.

The Broadband Manager will work closely with the City Library and external stakeholders to ensure progress of social justice for digitally under-served communities in San Jose.
