Job Description:

Strategic Economics is seeking a full-timeAnalyst II. This person would work as part of larger project teams and be responsible for a variety of data collection and analytic tasks such as creating maps in ArcGIS and Adobe Illustrator, analyzing demographic and employment data, collecting and analyzing real estate market data, and gathering various qualitative or case study information as needed. The Analyst II position will also require the ability to write narrative text explaining data analysis, and to be able to think about multiple ways to present data in a visual or graphic format.

We invite candidates with solid analytical and mapping skills, background and interest in regional and local planning and economic development, and a desire to manage data to apply. The applicant must be comfortable working with numbers and have a desire to learn more about economic analysis, as well as demonstrated GIS skills. The following experience and skills are required:

An undergraduate degree in city planning, geography, public policy, or other related field
Excellent research and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work to a deadline
Strong proficiency with ArcGIS
Strong proficiency with Excel and database management
Knowledge of PowerPoint and the Adobe Creative Suite
Familiarity with basic statistical analysis
Two years of experience in a related position.
The ideal candidate would be interested in accepting increasing responsibilities as they gain experience in the position. This position can also offer candidates the experience needed to pursue graduate studies in urban planning or a related field.

The position is full-time and available immediately. Salary is commensurate with experience.
