DEVELOPMENT INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION
THE COMPANY
Panoramic Interests specializes in innovative, infill development.
Since 1990, Panoramic has completed 14 mixed-use, infill projects in and around downtown Berkeley, California -- adding more than 500 new units of housing, and 100,000 square feet of commercial space.
The firm embraces new ideas and technologies. Panoramic installed the first independently accessed, stacked, parking lifts in a commercial development in the U.S. (1995). It was also the first developer to incorporate on-premises City CarShare in its buildings (2001). All of its rental projects had rooftop gardens, energy-efficient designs, and ground floor retail space reserved for local businesses.
The last five years, Panoramic has been developing a design for stylish and efficient housing called CITYSPACES™. In 2015, the firm completed construction of a car-free, high rise, micro-apartment building called The Panoramic, at 1321 Mission Street in SF, one block from Twitter's headquarters. Several other projects are at varying stages of the entitlements and pre-development process in both San Francisco and Berkeley.
Panoramic is currently developing a modular system and development model to provide supportive housing for San Francisco's chronically homeless called the MicroPAD™. The MicroPAD™ uses prefabricated, steel modular construction to create fully furnished dwellings at lower costs and in less time than conventional construction.
