Emeryville seeks a graduate student or recent graduate of a Master’s program in city planning, public administration, public policy, or business administration. The EDH division implements projects and programs in housing policy and development, public art, capital improvements, brownfields, loans, jobs, and small business support. Tasks include researching, reporting and posting housing and real estate data; assisting with programs and projects; helping with preparation of grant applications; and conducting field work. Required skills include problem solving, communication, organization, word processing, and working with spreadsheets and databases. Desired skills include project management, land use and housing policy, GIS, Adobe Illustrator, and project development. Compensation is $19-$20/hour depending on qualifications. Interns may stay up to 2 years, working 12 to 20 hours per week, up to 1,000 hours per fiscal year. Please send a cover letter and resume.
