We are currently looking for a full-time paid summer (seasonal) CEQA/NEPA planning intern. This position is aimed toward current undergraduate/recently graduated students. This position is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience with real-world CEQA/NEPA projects at a professional consulting firm. Ideal candidates should possess familiarity with the CEQA/NEPA process.

This position requires progress towards or a completed Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental planning, geography, ecology, or other related and relevant fields of study. This seasonal internship will pay a competitive hourly wage. Any hours worked over 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week will receive time-and-a-half compensation. The duration of the internship will depend on the availability of the selected candidate, but has the potential to extend beyond fall 2016.

Specific duties include:

• Conduct document research, basic data analysis.
• Prepare document templates and sections of environmental documents.
• Integrate technical reports into environmental documents under supervision of project manager.
• Complete tasks as assigned by project managers and technical staff.
• Limited administrative duties under the supervision of the Associate and/or Senior Environmental Planner including document production and delivery, database updates, and other similar tasks.

Desired qualifications include: education and familiarly with CEQA, NEPA, environmental impact analysis, permit preparation, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrable technical writing ability, leadership skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.
