The Department of Planning & Development Permit Center Manager will manage the operations and customer service of a newly created Planning and Development Services Permit Center. This is a Division Head position reporting to the Department of Planning and Development Director. The Permit Center Manager will lead a staff of more than six Permit Technicians, an Administrative Support Officer II and more than eight supporting clerical staff. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the County's planning, building, engineering, fire permit application processes. A desirable candidate will have successful experience in customer service, oversight of complex processes, database and workflow management software and implementation of permit process improvement initiatives.
