AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Economic Planner for immediate employment for the San Diego, CA office. Typical projects include economic analysis and strategy development in support of policy and master planning such as economic development and urban revitalization strategies, land use policy, complex economic modeling and real estate pro forma analysis for a range of land uses, market feasibility research, fiscal and economic impact studies, cots/benefit analysis, and project implementation and financing strategies.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
•Develop methodologies, work to deliver projects, and manage internal and external teams
•Produce, review and present client deliverables, including memos, reports and presentations
•Support business development efforts including managing multi-disciplinary proposal preparation

*Minimum Requirements
•Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Geography or related field
•5+ years' experience in urban economic development, redevelopment and urban planning policy development
•Real estate expertise
•Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
•Good analytical and quantitative skills
•Experience with financial and economic modeling
•Have an interest in creative solutions and a significant capacity for leadership advancement
•Some travel is anticipated

*Preferred Qualifications
•Previous project management for consulting engagements in a relevant field
•Experience with financial and economic modeling for urban planning, economic development, and/or real estate development
•Knowledge of local, state, and federal economic development programs
•Experience with private and public clients and projects that entail public/private partnerships
•Experience with other quantitative and/or mapping programs such as GIS, IMPLAN, REMI, SPSS/STATA
•Professional level foreign language capacity in Spanish is desirable
