Digital Democracy is seeking applicants for a Community Engagement Fellow.

Digital Democracy is a nonprofit based in Oakland, California, focused on empowering marginalized communities to use technology to defend their rights. We build tools with our indigenous partners across South America to empower frontline action on human rights and the environment.

Our Community Engagement Fellow would join Dd's small but growing team on a part time basis for spring 2016, and potentially longer. The Fellow will take on a leadership role in engaging and growing our community - individuals that can give time, technical talents and financial resources to advance our human rights work. We are offering a modest monthly stipend for this part time (10-20 hours a week) position for up to an initial six month commitment. The exact length of this fellowship is negotiable, and includes the opportunity to extend the fellowship into a longer paid fellowship or full or part-time position.

For more on the qualifications, perks and application process, see the full post on our website:

Candidates who identify as a member of a marginalized community are strongly urged to apply.
