This position is for a full-time Digital Publicist at EAH Housing Corporate offices in San Rafael, CA. Qualified candidates will have a minimum 3 years of experience in matters related to affordable housing, digital media and website maintenance. The Digital Publicist will integrate publicity/corporate messaging with corporate relationship management, positioning and messaging of EAH Housing throughout California and Hawaii. Draft press releases, serve as media contact, collect photos releases for marketing releases and manage mass mailing programs and contact lists. Pay is between $42,000 - $55,000/year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates, edits and acquires content for internal and external uses, including Keys to Housing, EAH Annual Report and Resident Stories.

• Designs and implements press and publicity strategies for internal and external projects and events.

• Manages communication team on assigned targeted projects, including selecting and hiring of social media, promotional, graphics, catering, event, design and various communications consultants necessary to develop and implement the assigned project; coordinates and monitors the work of the related staff and professional consultants; ensures work is finished and obtains internal approvals; manages MOU’s and billing process when necessary.

• Responsible for public approvals for quotes, marketing content, RFP/RFQ statistics, advocacy statistics and vetted all collected data by appropriate internal decision maker.

• Responsible for the development of the company’s website and regularly refreshes website content based on newly researched and approved data; works with other EAH Housing departments to update department and property specific web pages.

• Directs and monitors EAH Housing social media marketing efforts 24 hours a day using a variety of software suites to improve outreach and connect with constituents, elected officials, advocacy groups and individuals.

• Works with and supports other EAH Housing departments by utilizing effective lines of communication for exchange of information necessary between press, advocates, elected officials, community leaders, government appointed officials and EAH staff in CA and HI.

• Coordinates and review publications for advertising opportunities.

• May be asked to provide a public presence participating in community and public policy groups; attending conferences, and staying informed of public policies affecting affordable housing.

• Responsible for preparing communication materials for internal distribution.

• Actively organizes corporate video archives.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Education - Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields of study: marketing, public policy, liberal arts, communications studies, public relations, business administration, non-profit management, fundraising or journalism, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience - 3 years of related work or field work experience in matters related to affordable housing, fundraising, publicity, advocacy or project management.
