Summary
OppSites, Inc. is seeking experienced Designers with a background in Urban Planning. We need designers of multiple backgrounds including User Experience and Graphic Design. Together, the designer’s primary responsibility is to find opportunities for new features and feature improvement for the OppSites platform. They will be responsible for research, testing, prototyping, and rendering their design. The designers will also work with the engineers to consider feasibility. You have experience relevant to the design background you are applying for. You are comfortable being the primary point of contact on all things related to your designs. You can communicate your design ideas, reasoning, and challenges well to people without a design background.

Qualifications
Has industry experience.
Experience working in an interdisciplinary team with different priorities.
Familiar with industry tools and collaborating with other designers.

Responsibilities
Create, update, maintain, optimize, test, and document the platform design.
Prioritize design tasks balancing business, design, and development.
Communicate progress and challenges to the team.
Collaborate with the engineer to create implementable designs.
Grow a design focused culture within the company.

OppSites is an Oakland based startup. Our mission is to connect cities with under used sites to developers that can invest and make the city’s plans a reality. OppSites is over a year old, VC funded, and growing with 6 full-time employees.

Pay
Pay will start as unpaid on a brief trial period. After that, a stipend will be discussed based on potential contributions to the team.
