SITELAB urban studio is seeking a junior designer with a Bachelors or Masters degree in architecture, urban studies, fine art or related field to join our San Francisco office. We are a small, fast-paced office with great opportunities for growth and mentorship. We look for designers that are curious, engaged, ready for a challenge, and have a sense of humor. Our ideal candidate is passionate about designing great places in cities, detail-oriented, has an eye for graphics, an interest in clear visual communication of complex ideas, and enjoys working as part of a team. Candidates must be proficient Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Digital Modeling (Rhino, Sketchup) and/or writing skills are a plus.

Responsibilities will include: Preparing diagrams and graphic presentations for projects; Conducting research on urban design, real estate, and/or local codes; Coordinating marketing materials and presentations of projects for lectures and proposals; and maintaining SITELAB’s social media presence (website updates, Facebook, etc). Part time or full time will be considered.

Our current projects include urban design and outreach for the 5M Project and Pier 70 in San Francisco, a tactical outreach project in the neighborhood of Portola, SF, an urban public plaza in downtown Oakland, and a public realm plan for Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Please send your resume and work samples to info@sitelaburbanstudio.com (no emails over 5mb, please). For more information on SITELAB, please visit our website at sitelaburbanstudio.com.
