The Economic Development and Housing (EDH) Division implements capital improvement, brownfields, public art, housing, and economic development projects and programs.
There are currently two 12-month internship positions open at the Economic Development and Housing Division, starting in July 2015. Candidates must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in graduate level coursework in one of the following fields (city and regional planning, public administration, public policy, and/or business administration). Position details are as follows:
Term 12 month term: Starting July 2015 through June 2016.
During summer months, 21-28 hours/week (3 - 4 full work days) desirable.
During school year, 12-14 hours/week desirable; longer hours are possible during school breaks. There is a maximum of 1,000 hours allowed per fiscal year.

Required Skills 1. Self-starter, problem-solver, good follow-through.
2. Excellent written, communication and organizational skills.
3. Spreadsheet, database, and word processing proficiency.
4. Knowledge of the following desirable, but not required: project management, land use and housing policy; GIS; Adobe Illustrator or similar graphic design program, project development.
